If you are interested in joining the graduate department at MIT and specifically in my group, then you should know that all admission to the department is made by the admissions committee and not the individual faculty. You need to make an application to the dept.

Students interested in theory, computation, and modelling in materials science are certainly invited to communicate with me and, if mutual interest develops, may join my research group. Several students have recently decided to obtain two advisors and create a thesis that has both modeling and experimental aspects--this works quite well.
